Magento adds new widget features
Magento is perhaps the most popular free, open e-commerce platform source available today, offering dozens of merchandising and customization features like multiple product images, pan and zoom the image,customer opinions, email marketing, cross selling, multi – in-store support, live tracking of customer activity, and more. Now Magento will offer frontend blocks called Widgets to make it easier for users to add products, and customize their websites.
“Magento Widgets are frontend blocks with a predefined set of configuration options,” the company said on its website. “These configuration options are displayed in a special edit form in the backend panel when a widget is being added or edited by a store owner. The ability to easily set widget configuration options allows for the full control of widget placement on a page to store owners.”
Now, a new widget feature allows users to add dynamic content, including any kind of sales functions from the Magento backend without having to know any programming. We are excited for these new developments as more users will be looking to make changes, and update their designs.
